At Evrotas we like to do our own thing. Our events are small yet every bit as good as the big guys, without the constraints that must come with large scale events. We are runners and if we don't love it ourselves we wouldn't do it.
We have 2 major events each year and 2 club events :
Holy Island Marathon. Postponed until September we still managed to pull it off year 4 went ahead with some alterations to the course but we were one of the few events to take place in 2020.
A unique running experience with only 26 places starting in Scotland and ending on the Holy Island of Lindisfarne. Looking forward to year 5 and returning to the Borders for our annual weekend away.
Evrotas Welsh Ultra Cancelled for 2020 but it will be back stronger in 2021, an extended course taking the total distance up to 80K. 2021 will be our 5th year running in Wales over both the Black Mountains and the Breacon Beacons. The race motto is Araf deg mae mynd ymhell perfect for an ultra run, The translation from its native Welsh being "Go slowly and go far" not one for the feint of heart.
The Poppy run in November remembers those who gave up everything for our country over the years. For year 5 we continue or journey of remembrance with a Covid friendly event, it will be a challenge but it will happen. Lest we forget!
The year ends with some extremely challenging sessions in London before we get on the train for our Christmas end of year run the Festive 50. A club day out somewhere in the UK with no pressure and a lot of laughs, last years unanticipated water obstacles were particularly refreshing.
